Zach's legacy
Zachery McCarthy was a dedicated public servant who worked at the Monmouth County Sheriffs Office for nine years. As a public safety telecommunicator, he played a crucial role in emergency services, helping to save lives and protect the community. In addition to his work at the MCSO, McCarthy was also the chief of the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad.
As a leader in the community, McCarthy was known for his selflessness, compassion, and dedication to service.
On May 7th, 2023, Zach passed away due to complications from the COVID-19 virus
He was a friend, an educator, and a hero to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. To honor his legacy, the Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad has created a scholarship in his memory to help educate the next generation of first responders.
